What is the Political Courage Test?

Kentucky Congressional Election 2018 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I take the Pro-life position except in cases of incest, rape, or to save the mother's life.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
We need to bring the budget deficit under control by cutting spending and reducing the tax cuts.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Business corporations should not be allowed to make campaign contributions.
Yes Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
We should reduce federal spending and reduce the lowering of corporate taxes in order to reduce the risk of inflation.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
The states should specialize in reading, writing, and arithmetic, and skip the requirements for teaching political correctness.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Most of that federal regulation is based on junk science, and has caused a lot of unemployment in the coal mining areas.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
The U.S. Constitution, and most State Constitutions provide". . . the right to bear arms shall not be infringed." When the more Liberal groups get the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution abolished or amended, then I might support infringements of the right to bear arms.
No Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
The Affordable Care Act should be amended so that it does not limit the amount of medical care that an individual can buy on the open market. During the last three years we have had an increase in the American death rate--this should be investigated, and the Affordable Care Act should be amended to correct the defects--if necessary, reducing funding for Federal supply of OxyContin and pain killers that contribute to the higher death rate in America today.
No Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
No Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
The DACA immigrants should be granted a path to citizenship, and those that are American armed forces veterans should be granted a path to citizenship that consists of an affidavit, a background investigation, and a swearing of allegiance to the United States, plus forty hours of community service.
No Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
Decriminalization of marijuana possession or smoking should be a matter for the States to decide under the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. The Federak Marijuana Tax Act should be limited to raising Federal Revenue to help reduce the deficit.
No Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
No Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
Generally, I oppose pre-emptive strikes against governments that have not attacked us first. Considering nations such as North Korea, I propose harsher sanctions on them to encourage nonproliferation. The more nations that have nuclear weapons, the more likely someone will fire a nuclear-headed missile that may cause a general nuclear war. Proliferation of nuclear arms can be discouraged with nonviolent means, but we should try to discourage all nations from increasing nuclear arsenals.
1. The Federal budget is totally out of control and the Federal debt equals 106% of the national GDP. We need to reduce the Federal deficit with spending cuts, and reduction of the recent Federal tax cuts. 2. We need to maintain our military and economic superiority above Russia by economic means to reduce Russia's economic strength by encouraging Russians to emigrate to other countries, competing with Russia economically, and maintaining a strong armed forces.
